Yavor Bozhankov: The next president should be the antithesis of Rumen Radev

The floods in Burgas are an emanation of the entire state

At the most unexpected moment, the tension in society may return and I am worried not about the current mandate, but about the establishment of a pro-Russian majority in Bulgaria in the medium term. This was commented on in "The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov" by PP-DB MP Yavor Bozhankov.

"Let's take the budget policy as an example - they are accumulating debt at a phenomenal rate. In January, Rumenradevtsi, "Vazrazhdane", everyone will say: "Here - the euro is to blame, did you see, did we tell you". This policy of this government will be the basis of both the high debt, and inflation, and the rise in prices - and not the euro. In the long term, however, pro-Russian parties can reap dividends".

According to him, the ruling party has forgotten itself after seeing that the opposition is divided, they have become arrogant and unforgiving. Not a single point proposed by the opposition has made it onto the agenda, the MP explained. According to him, of all the votes of no confidence so far, there has been one adequate one - the one on the deep state.

"After this government, the alternative is not pro-Russian, but democratic government. The next regular elections are for the president - we don't just need a new president, but the antithesis of President Radev - an established, convinced decorum. There is no one to cast him, except the democratic community, and unfortunately it is much broader than the voters who are currently voting for us. Our mission right now is to restore the lost trust".

The floods in Burgas are an emanation of the entire state, said Bozhankov and explained that since 2009, signals have been filed about illegal construction on the Black Sea coast:

"Everyone knows that there is a river there, not a riverbed, not a ravine. The fact that it has dried up does not change anything. There is a law that has not been complied with. Violations - a number, signals - the prosecutor's office is inactive, an offshore company is building hotels".

Therefore, the PP-DB will propose increasing the penalties - currently the fines are between 2,000 and 10,000 leva.

"We will insist that the government make a list of all properties that threaten the health and safety of citizens on the Black Sea coast. We must raise the issue, when talking about disasters, of the role of the army. We invest a lot in defense, but it is not clear how the army helps. How does the early warning system work? It did not work in this case either".

According to Yavor Bozhankov, acting prosecutor general Borislav Sarafov "is obviously too convenient for Borisov and they are keeping him like a soft egg", but it is worrying for Bulgaria that so many positions are occupied by temporary officials:

"Bulgaria has an interim government - people are asking themselves who the prime minister is lately. I don't remember another government like that".
