As of October 13, 2025, Viktor Chaushev joins the Sofia Municipality team, taking over the portfolio of “Transport and Urban Mobility“.
Viktor Chaushev's professional experience is related to the development of complex analyses for the optimization of public transport. In 2022, he will take up the position of Advisor to the Minister of Transport and Communications, where he is responsible for the transport component of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and for public transport reforms.
In his new role in the Sofia Municipality, he will work to implement a public transport reform and build an up-to-date transport model for Sofia that reflects the real needs of citizens and offers sustainable solutions for mobility in the city.

According to the municipality's vision, this is a key stage in Sofia's efforts to develop an infrastructure and transport system comparable to European standards - a system that ensures reliability, accessibility and a better quality of life for all residents of the capital.
