“The Anti-Corruption Commission and no institution were ours in any form. Our goal is that there should be no ours and yours institution“, said the co-chairman of “Yes, Bulgaria” Ivaylo Mirchev on the show “Face to Face“.
According to him, the head of the Anti-Corruption Commission spoke on the phone with Delyan Peevski.
“We know this because there are still normal people who work in the services and want a normal country. They say they are outraged and enraged that it is possible for a politician to obsess over Bulgarian institutions to such an extent," Mirchev said.
According to him, Boyko Borisov met with Donald Trump Jr. a few days ago, but "did not brag about it."
"He did not brag because the purpose of this meeting was to have the "Magnitsky" sanctions lifted by Delyan Peevski," claims Ivaylo Mirchev.
A "Wall Street Journal" article states that Borisov wanted to give "Balkan Stream" and "Lukoil" to Trump.
"The article does not mention Peevski by name, but close allies are mentioned. An attempt was made to negotiate this, but of course it was not agreed, because even the surname “Trump“ does not stoop to such a low level“, Mirchev also stated.
He added that these attempts by Borisov to lift the “Magnitsky“ sanctions from Peevski have been going on for a long time.
According to Ivaylo Mirchev, Boyko Borisov is “finished politically”, and Delyan Peevski will become Prime Minister of Bulgaria if a very strong civil barrier is not created to prevent this from happening.
