„It may turn out that all these buildings there do not have Act 16. Not a single one of these buildings has Act 16. And Minister Manol Genov is not to blame for this“.
This was said in the program „Face to Face“ on bTV by the chairman of the parliamentary group of the BSP Dragomir Stoynev regarding the appeal of Ivaylo Mirchev, co-chairman of „Yes, Bulgaria“ and MP from PP-DB, the Minister of Environment and Water Manol Genov (from the BSP quota) to resign over the flood in the resort complex “Elenite“, in which 4 people died.
According to Stoynev, those who allowed them to be built are to blame for the houses and hotels without ACT 16 in “Elenite“.
The socialist pointed out that Manol Genov has proven his competence by managing to save about 360 million leva under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan, intended to improve the water and sanitation infrastructure in the country.
Stoynev described the opposition's behavior in parliament as an attempt to create constant conflicts and an artificial sense of political crisis.
“There is no political crisis in Bulgaria. There is a regular government with clear commitments to the people, with a clear program, and this government is working. BSP ministers are fully committed to the problems of citizens,“ he also pointed out.
The chairman of the BSP parliamentary group also announced that he will raise the issue of stopping the transit of Russian gas through Bulgaria at the next coalition council, because his party is against it, since we benefit from it.
