We have approved assistance for the victims of the floods - 3,000 leva for each family affected by the disaster. This was announced by Social Minister Borislav Gutsanov at a briefing after a meeting of the Council of Ministers.

"There are two conditions for receiving the assistance - the housing must be legally built and must be solely for the victimized family," he added. And he specified that in addition to 3,000 leva, the victims will receive another 1,914 leva - this is equal to three times the poverty level. They are imposed by law," he added.

The ban on access to Elenite is partially lifted.

"You can also apply for another 2,500 leva - for damaged household goods. The total amount that an affected family can receive is within 7,500 leva. Everything will be at the expense of the budget of the Ministry of Social Affairs. The amounts are not large, but these are our capabilities as a department. At the next meeting of the Council of Ministers, a proposal will be submitted for support to the families of those who died in the disaster - most likely the amount will be around 15,000 leva," Gutsanov added.

According to him, among the goals is the creation of a program through which the unemployed can clean ravines and strengthen dikes in order to secure risky sites.
