A two-day state of emergency is being introduced from today until 11:59 p.m. on October 11 in the Ruse municipality. The order of Mayor Pencho Milkov is in connection with the registered landslides in the village of Nikolovo, BNR indicated.
An immediate evacuation has been ordered for the residents of the village of Nikolovo, located 150 meters from both banks of the Saradzhiyska River in the "Lipnik" forest park, where there is a risk of the damaged dike breaking.
Residents of the town of Marten and the village of Sandrovo have been warned of a possible evacuation within the next 24 hours, and if necessary, actions will be taken to evacuate them.
As of now, the Ruse Municipality has activated the BG-Alert system. The Arena Ruse Hall is prepared to receive those in need, providing food, water and psychological support.
