We saw a new episode of the same series yesterday. What was taken out at the last moment was some Russian who was not actually talking about Blagomir Kotsev, but was talking about other people, so it remains completely unclear to me why Kotsev is behaving in a situation where he is not testifying against him. Then the other people should be questioned. This was commented on by PP-DB MP Nikolay Denkov for BNT.
"The second thing we see is that it has not yet been verified to what extent these claims are true, to what extent the documents that are claimed to be correct are correct. All of this could have been done in the past 10 months, because this person is talking about something that happened in 2024. The goal for us is clear - to remove the mayor and install someone who will respond to their calls, economic and others", said Denkov.
Regarding the garbage crisis in Sofia, Denkov congratulated Mayor Terziev for not agreeing that Sofia residents should pay a pittance for "corruption" and specified:
"Here it is not about 10-20 percent, but about a multiple increase in the price, unlike other mayors. In Burgas and Plovdiv, we know that they were increased more, even 2 times in one of the cities. So congratulations to the people in Plovdiv and Burgas, who are already paying a lot more for garbage, because their mayors acted differently. I would especially like to congratulate the volunteers in Sofia, because without their help, without their participation, it would have been much more difficult for Sofia to cope. We must all support them so that, on the one hand, we can pay less for a better quality service and, on the other hand, not give this money to the mafia, because then this money goes for bribes, for buying media and everything that actually poisons our lives."
About Budget 2026, Nikolay Denkov said that the economic policies that will be implemented are very important:
"I hear various economists practicing again on the topic with the idea that we should go back to misery, even though we have the lowest minimum wage, that it should remain low. Even though we have the lowest pensions in the EU, that we should freeze them. These are the wrong messages. The right messages are to attract investors. The economy should go up, not inflation, as has happened in recent months, from 2% to 5.5%. Investments in Bulgaria need to increase, and I don't hear anyone talking about it at all. And it can't happen with our justice system working like this. So it's very important to use the budget to see what the economic policy will be for the next 3 years."
