A private freight train ran over a BDZ employee, who held the position of "wagon inspector". The incident occurred upon entering Mezdra station, at 6.10 in the morning, the state-owned enterprise confirmed. There was a free track and the movement of other trains was not stopped.
The man died on the way to the hospital.
