The main political war being waged in Bulgaria is the one related to the geopolitical orientation of the country and where the state is going in its future. This thesis was expressed during his speech at the opening of the Annual Meeting of the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria in the Albena resort complex by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov.
According to him, the main factor in resolving this political war is the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria, and it is in this process that municipalities have a decisive importance.
