We all saw that these elections are the embodiment of the conquered state and an emanation of corruption in Bulgarian politics. This was stated to journalists by President Rumen Radev regarding the elections for a new municipal council in Pazardzhik, quoted by novini.bg.
„The case with the Varna mayor is becoming increasingly interesting. Publications have appeared about a secret witness – a Ukrainian citizen. Whether there is one, against whom he testified – I cannot comment. However, the information about the work of the National Security Service is disturbing. According to publications in early July of the I.F. Chairman of the National Security Agency Denyo Denev expelled the citizen in question and imposed a ban on him from entering the country due to socially dangerous activities and money laundering here in Varna. If this is true, there must be an operational file with convincing motives for this expulsion in the regional directorate of the National Security Agency in Varna.
Only two weeks later, the same acting chairman of the National Security Agency revoked his own order and returned him to Bulgaria. This is an absolute precedent for hundreds of bans issued, there has been no similar case in the past years. The question is who pressured the acting chairman of the National Security Agency to take this risk, to trample on his own motives and why. I call on the relevant committee in the National Assembly to clarify all the circumstances surrounding this case, because there are already such publications. An answer must be given whether this is true or not.
By law, the chairman of the National Security Agency is obliged to provide the president, the prime minister and the chairman of the National Assembly with information of equal volume and content. I have not received any information on this case. But all developments point to the idea that such information is acquired by those who do not have the right to access it, but are clearly using it for their own selfish purposes“, emphasized Radev in connection with media speculations about the new secret witness in the case against Blagomir Kotsev.
“This is the result of the changes in the services – crushing the inconvenient, increasingly fierce political repressions, increasingly brutal robbery of public resources and private business, about which we will learn less and less, just as we did not learn about the draining of “Hemus“ under the Borisov government. We will simply continue to quietly impoverish ourselves. This is no longer about presidential powers, but about the functioning of the rule of law. "If we do not activate the resistance forces of our society, we will go back in time to the darkest episodes of dictatorship and robbery," the head of state warned.
