The Haskovo District Court will hear the case for the removal of Myumyun Iskender as mayor of the Mineralni Bani Municipality. The request is from the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, BNT reports.
A few days ago, the case, which started after two unsuccessful attempts due to Iskender's illness, began, but was postponed for new evidence. The prosecution requested documents from the Mineralni Bani Municipal Council.
The mayor is accused of participating in an organized criminal group with the aim of absorbing European funds.
