The "Road Infrastructure" Agency announced upcoming changes in the organization of traffic on the "Struma" and "Hemus" highways, Dariknews.bg reports. On Tuesday and Wednesday at night, the "Blatino" tunnel on the "Struma" (in the Kyustendil region) will be cleaned, due to which traffic will pass in two directions in one of the pipes. On the "Hemus" highway, a "window" will be built in the median strip of the highway and the viaduct at km 38 will be repaired.
„Hemus“
From 9 a.m. on October 14 to 9 a.m. on October 16, traffic at km 22 and km 27 of the „Hemus“ motorway in both directions will be carried out in the active and emergency lanes, and passage in the overtaking lanes will be limited. The change in the traffic organization is for asphalt works during the construction of a „window“ in the median strip of the highway. It is necessary to ensure the transition from one lane to another, in connection with upcoming repair activities of the asphalt pavement in the section.
From 9 a.m. on October 15 to 9 a.m. on October 17, traffic in the direction of Sofia will be limited in the active lane in a 200-meter section at the 38th km of the motorway, and vehicles will pass in the overtaking lane. The change in the organization is for repairs of the viaduct pavement.
„Struma“
On October 14 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on October 15, traffic in the pipe to Blagoevgrad will be limited for washing the walls of the tunnel at the 56th km of the „Struma“ motorway. Traffic will be redirected two-way into the Sofia tube.
On October 15, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on October 16, the Sofia tunnel tube will be closed to traffic, and traffic will be carried out two-way in the Blagoevgrad tube.
The planned activities to increase traffic safety will be carried out at night, when traffic is lighter, noted the RIA.
„Trakia“
From 8 a.m. on October 14 to 8 a.m. on October 16, traffic on a section of the I-7 Zimnitsa - Yambol road at the „Zimnitsa“ junction on the „Trakia“ motorway will be carried out two-way in one lane. The change in the organization is for the repair of the pavement of the first-class road at the intersection with the AM “Trakia“, without changing the traffic on the highway. Traffic on the I-7 road will pass in two directions in one lane with a waiting area and will be regulated by a traffic light system.
API appeals to drivers to strictly observe the posted road signs and to drive carefully, keeping a safe distance. To drive at a reasonable speed and not to undertake risky overtaking, which endangers the safety of all other travelers.
