For the first time in the EP, there were two votes of no confidence simultaneously from two very different groups. They failed because the majority is very strong. This was stated to BNT by Petar Volgin, an MEP from the group of “Europe of Sovereign Nations”, elected from the list of “Vazrazhdane”, quoted by novini.bg.
He considers it “very stupid” that the opposition parties that submitted the no-confidence votes did not vote for the foreign no-confidence vote.
„There was no Trump revolution in Europe because it turned out that the current leadership in the EU is convenient for Trump. There is nothing that threatens American policy. From being critics of Trump, these people have become his admirers and are fulfilling his wishes“, he stressed.
It is categorical that the ruling elite of the EU is made up of people who do not have the qualities for this.
„These are good executors of the task, but they have no vision for the future. They were selected on the principle of anti-selection – the more a person does not become, the more he is pushed up“, Volgin also said.
About Bulgaria's entry into the eurozone, the MEP commented: “I do not think that anything will come of our membership in the European Union. The prosperity of a country does not depend on what currency you pay with. It depends on the state of your society, your financial, political and economic system. Until we fix our country as a structure, it does not matter whether we pay in euros, dollars or rubles.”
