Rumen Petkov: Instead of the first budget in euros, we are dealing with who went to which parties

What we have angered Borisov - I do not know. We generally have extremely correct, measured, balanced behavior. I have never heard a reproach to the work of Speaker Kiselova

Instead of the first budget in euros, we are dealing with who went to which parties. This was stated in "From the Day" by Rumen Petkov, leader of ABV and part of "BSP - United Left".

When asked whether they angered Borisov that he wants the resignation of the Speaker of the Parliament Natalia Kiselova, Petkov replied: "What we have angered Borisov - I do not know. We generally have extremely correct, measured, balanced behavior. I have never heard a reproach to the work of Speaker Kiselova. Mrs. Kiselova has chaired all the sessions of the National Assembly, where she has gone to celebrations, holidays, she has gone to respect people, to show relations and has been among the people, never at the expense of the working hours of the parliament. I cannot guess Mr. Borisov's motives, but I believe that we have several much more important issues and such individual actions at the expense of partners are not the most decent thing that a responsible Bulgarian politician can afford. And I immediately say, the so loudly advertised success of GERB, of other political forces entering the eurozone, but we are on the threshold of the first budget in euros. And instead of dealing with this extremely important issue, we are dealing with who went to which parties. And I think that is at least indecent. Second, the reproach to the chairman, to Minister Gutsanov. He does not want anything different from what the law imposes on him as an obligation. In the first series of difficult questions, I don't know why, it's being avoided, only we from "BSP - United Left" are talking about the fact that we have a very difficult situation in the industry. For the first 8 months, we have a very heavy trade deficit of about 12 billion, with a forecast of reaching 18 billion and a 10% collapse of the industry. So these are issues that are much more important than the Rose Festival, which I personally value very highly."

Petkov pointed out that "BSP - United Left" is ready to withdraw from the government under "insurmountable conditions".

"Let me say right away that we have not stated that we are ready for anything. And this is a very incorrect interpretation, more than that. We said perfectly clearly today that for us power is not an end in itself. Political dialogue, at least the left, has shown that it is a conscious necessity for us. But this does not mean that we are ready for anything. I repeat, perfectly clearly, we have said today that power is not an end in itself for us. That we are ready to step down if insurmountable conditions are set. So I apologize, but I categorically reject such perverted interpretations, deeply untrue," he said.

When asked what conditions are unacceptable to you, Petkov said:

"First of all, I am not a supporter of mall-type politics. Let's get together in a mall and tell each other everything. I believe that in responsible political conversations and negotiations, there are things that should not necessarily begin with throwing around the media with "our conditions are". Dialogue, respect, the desire to find a solution, do not imply such public rifts."
