The case for the accident in which 12-year-old Siyana died continues at the Pleven District Court. Before the court hearing, relatives of the child and residents of Pleven are holding another protest demanding a fair verdict for the culprit and a speedy trial, BNT reports.
Two new witnesses, as well as some of the experts, are expected to appear before the magistrates today. At the previous hearing a month ago, the child's grandmother and aunt spoke before the court, and then the other seven witnesses in the case, including the police and the medical team that responded to the scene.
So far, the defendant has not given any explanations.
They requested more reports and written evidence in the case from the prosecutor's office and Siyana's family, which the court accepted.
From the stories of some of the witnesses, it became clear that the medical teams arrived too late at the scene of the accident.
Meanwhile, in early September, repairs began on the road section where the accident with Siyana occurred. It is planned to completely resurface it.
