Until October 31 (inclusive), traffic organization is being introduced in connection with the construction of Rozhen Boulevard, the press center of the Sofia Municipality announced, quoted by dariknews.bg.
It is prohibited for vehicles to enter the western roadway of the new route of Rozhen Boulevard between Iliyansko Shose Street and the Northern Expressway, and traffic will be carried out in two directions on the eastern roadway of Rozhen Boulevard in the above-mentioned section, on Kiril Blagoev Street between the old and new routes of Rozhen Boulevard and on the southern local roadway on the Northern Expressway between the old and new route of „Rozhen“ Blvd.
During this period, public transport traffic is also changing. Trams on line № 11 will run along a route from „Knyazhevo“ district to „Vrbnitsa 1“ - two-way, and the trains will stop at all existing tram stops on the changed section of the route. Trams on line № 12 will run along a route from „Journalist“ square to Sofia North station - two-way.
Buses on lines № 83 and 108 will run along routes as follows (in the direction of Hyundai Bulgaria) from Zooparka and district „Lyulin 5“ along the existing routes to the intersection of „Gen. Nikola Zhekov“-blvd. „Rozhen“, blvd. „Rozhen“, ul. „Petar Panayotov“ and right on ul. „Iliyansko shose“ on the routes to the Zoo and zh.k. „Lyulin 5“.
Three temporary stops are being opened - with code 6698 „Blvd. Rozhen-temporary“ on ul. „Rozhen“ 30 meters after the left turn from ul. „Gen. Nikola Zhekov“, with code 6699 „Stadium locomotive-temporary“ on ul. „Petar Panayotov-temporary“ 40 meters after the right turn from ul. „Rozhen“- final and temporary terminal station for bus line No. 83, as well as a stop with code 6769 “Stadium Lokomotiv-temporary“ on “Petar Panayotov“ 10 meters before “Rozhen“ blvd. – starting point for bus line No. 83 and final and starting point for bus line No. 108.
The following stops are closed: with code 1637 “Hyundai Bulgaria“; two-way with codes 2456 and 2457 “Stokov Bazaar Iliyantsi“; with code 0745 “Sopharma AD“ in the direction of Hyundai Bulgaria; with code 0727 “ZAG Dinamik AD“ in the direction of Hyundai Bulgaria; with code 2674 “Blvd. Rozhen“ on ul. „Iliyansko shose“ in the direction of Hyundai Bulgaria (temporary for the lines); with code 0939 „Center of Iliyantsi district“ in the direction of Sofia; with code 0938 „Center of Iliyantsi district“ in the direction of exit from Sofia; with code 2667 „Ul. Jerman-optional“ in the direction of exit from Sofia; with code 2666 „Ul. Jerman-optional“ in the direction of Sofia.
Buses from lines No. 26, 27 and 29 will operate along the following routes: in the direction of Sofia from „Gnilyane“ district along the existing routes to the intersection with the old route of Blvd. „Rozhen“- Ul. „Djerman“, left along Ul. „Djerman“, right along the eastern carriageway of the new route of „Rozhen“ Blvd. and from the intersection of „Rozhen“ Blvd.-„Iliyansko Shose“ along the routes; in the direction of the exit from the „Obelya 1“ residential area along the operating routes to the railway overpass on „Rozhen“ Blvd., along the newly constructed eastern carriageway of „Rozhen“ Blvd., through the tunnel with the Northern Expressway and to the left along the local carriageway along the routes.
Five temporary stops are opened for the lines in the eastern carriageway of „Rozhen“ Blvd.: with code 6767 „Hyundai Bulgaria – temporary“ 5 meters before the temporary pedestrian path in front of the entrance/exit of the PBZN in the direction of Sofia, with code 6768 „Hyundai Bulgaria – temporary“ 25 meters after the temporary pedestrian crossing in the direction of exit from Sofia, with code 6781 „Kiril Blagoev“ – temporary after ul. „Kiril Blagoev“ in the direction of Sofia, with code 6780 „Kiril Blagoev“ – temporary after ul. „Kiril Blagoev“ in the direction of exit from Sofia and with code 6779 „Ul. Jerman-on-demand“ – temporary after ul. „Jerman“ in the direction of exit from Sofia.
A temporary stop with code 6772 „Center of Iliyantsi district“ is opened on ul. „Jerman“ 20 meters after the left turn from ul. „Rozhen“ in the direction of Sofia.
The following stops are closed: code 0939 “Center of Iliyantsi district“ in the direction of Sofia; with code 0938 “Center of Iliyantsi district“ in the direction of exit from Sofia; with code 2667 “Ul. Jerman-on request“ in the direction of exit from Sofia; with code 2666 “Ul. Jerman-on request“ in the direction of Sofia.
Blvd. “Rozhen“ is only part of our plan for the transformation of Sofia, said the mayor of the capital, Vasil Terziev, in October last year. This project is of strategic importance for the northern part of Sofia and the overall development of our city. Because this way we will connect the Northern Expressway with Blvd. “Iliyantsi“ and we will completely change access to the northern parts of the city and the republican road network, commented he.
Due to ongoing repairs, the route of trams on line 22 is temporarily changed. This was announced by the Sofia Municipality.
From 04:30 on October 18 to 24:00 on October 19, trams on the line will run from the residential area “Krasna Polyana” to the tram turntable “Geo Milev” .
A temporary line No. 22TM is being opened with the route: from the “Iztok” bus station (starting stop of bus lines No. 117 and No. 118) along “Letostruy” ul., to the right along “Botevgradsko Shose” ul. to “Poduyane” station, “Madrid” ul., “Prof. Milko Bichev” ul., “Gen. Danail Nikolaev” and left on Blvd. “Botevgradsko Shose” along the route to the “Iztok“ bus station.
The buses will stop at the existing bus stops along the route and at the tram stop on ul. “Aleko Konstantinov“ towards the center.
