For the first time, MRF won a mayoral seat in Dimitrovgrad municipality, BNT reported.
The movement's candidate Hristina Statteva won the by-elections for mayor of the village of Chernogorovo.
243 voters voted for her.
Thus, she defeated Lidiya Maloleva from GERB in the runoff, who received 233 votes.
The voter turnout in the Dimitrovgrad village is record high. As of 6 p.m., it was nearly 59%.
The by-elections were necessary after the previous mayor passed away.
