NRIC fired employees who stole apples during work

Based on the collected data and written explanations from all participants, the strictest disciplinary measures were taken - nine workers and the group leader were dismissed from work, and five other employees and managers received official warnings for dismissal

The General Director of NRIC Eng. Alexander Vetskov personally expressed his sincere apology to the owners of the apple orchard near the Dralfa interstation – Targovishte, which was the subject of encroachment by company employees during repair work on October 17, 2025, NRIC announced.

After the incident was announced on social networks and confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Eng. Alexander Vetskov immediately ordered an internal investigation. Based on the collected data and written explanations from all participants, the strictest disciplinary measures were taken – nine workers and the group leader have been dismissed, and five other employees and managers have received official dismissal warnings.

„Such actions have no place in our company. They do not reflect either the values or the professional standards we strive for. As a manager, I apologize to the affected owners and to all citizens who expect a high level of responsibility and integrity from us. I also apologize to the hundreds of our conscientious employees who, in the most difficult weather conditions, day and night, maintain and clear the country's railways. They do not deserve this stain and the ridicule after this incident, “ said the General Director Eng. Alexander Vetskov.
