The Parliamentary Energy Committee adopted on second reading the amendments to the Investment Promotion Act related to the possible sale of the Burgas refinery “Lukoil", a reporter for "Focus" reported.

The proposal was submitted by the members of parliament from the ruling majority - GERB-SDF, "BSP-United Left", "There is such a people", as well as from "DPS-New Beginning".

The amendments stipulate that the sale of assets of the Russian oil company "Lukoil" in Bulgaria will take place only after a decision of the Council of Ministers and a positive opinion of the State Agency "National Security" (DANS).

The commission decided that the law will enter into force on the day of its promulgation in the "State Gazette".

Earlier in the day, the topic of "Lukoil" became the leading one in the parliament's corridors, after it became clear last night that the US and the UK had imposed sanctions on the Russian companies "Rosneft", "Lukoil" and their subsidiaries.
