The Director of the NRA Territorial Directorate in Burgas, Kiril Pologov, was found dead with a gunshot wound in the area of the Pomorie village of Bata. There is no evidence of violence, and a legally owned personal gun was found next to him. He suffered from a serious malignant disease, and a few hours before the incident he left the oncology center in Burgas.
Kiril Pologov is a long-time employee of the national agency in the seaside city, and since 2024 he has been elected director of the institution.
The Burgas Police are investigating various versions of his death.
