The parliamentary group of the MECH party will not support our first state budget in euros. It will double the deficit to 6-7%.
This was commented on in Veliko Tarnovo by the leader of the party, Radostin Vassilev, quoted by the Bulgarian National Radio.
According to him, this budget will formalize the refinancing of the existing external and internal debt by another 20 billion. Vassilev predicts early parliamentary elections, and by the end of the year, MECH is preparing for a new vote of no confidence on the topic of "Energy".
MECH will hold talks with "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" about submitting a vote of no confidence to the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet on energy and this should happen by the end of the year, Radostin Vassilev pointed out:
"And in connection with what is happening with the new NPP capacities, and with the decisions of the European courts that prohibit state intervention in construction, and the way in which "Westinghouse" was chosen, and with what is happening with "Lukoil", how they are misleading us. Remember that in early November or late October, they say that there will be no problem with fuel prices, there will be one, a very serious one at that, and this could have been avoided if they had adopted our draft decision on the nationalization of "Lukoil" 9 months ago.
MECH is preparing for early parliamentary elections, Radostin Vassilev commented at a meeting with the party's active members in Veliko Tarnovo:
"We are ready for elections and I believe that after the adoption of the budget, this coalition will now withdraw from government because they cannot cope and will throw the country into the hands of their caretaker government, no longer politically responsible".
Regarding the "Vazrazhdane" party's idea of convening a Grand National Assembly and electing an entirely new constitution, Vassilev commented that this was an idea of MECH, which Kostadin Kostadinov's party copied.
