Benchev: There is fuel for now, no need to panic

It will be very, very difficult if "Lukoil" stops working

There is fuel for now and I hope that there will be fuel after the end of the year. There is no need to panic, people should not stock up. There is enough fuel on the market. This was stated to BTV by the chairman of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association, Svetoslav Benchev.

"With other sanctions imposed against Russia, there was also a certain increase in the price of fuel, but everything depends on the international markets. Once the market adjusts, the price of fuel will go down again."

Benchev said that what the government should think about is for the refinery to continue operating.

"It will be very, very difficult if "Lukoil" stop working."

But he added that he is firmly convinced that Bulgaria will not be left without fuel if the refinery in Burgas is operating.
