No documents have been found in the archives of the Ministry of Environment and Water (MOEW) for the coordination of construction in the holiday village "Elenite". This was announced by the Minister of Environment and Water Manol Genov in response to questions from journalists in Sozopol, after the forum "Blue Future for the Black Sea".

The Minister specified that the archives contain several refusals and one referral to the prosecutor's office from the Basin Directorate, on which the case was terminated. "We are ready to cooperate with the prosecutor's office and upon request we will provide all available information," Genov said, quoted by BTA. He recalled that after the floods in the holiday village at the beginning of the month, prosecutorial inspections are also being carried out.

The Director of the Basin Directorate “Black Sea Region“ Yavor Dimitrov announced that after the floods in Elenite and Tsarevo, inspections of the affected areas and a tour of the holiday complexes along the entire coast have begun. According to him, the inspections are continuing, and the analyses will be ready at a later stage.

“We are encountering numerous problems - filling water bodies with household and construction waste, covering riverbeds and violations of dikes“, Dimitrov pointed out. He specified that covering water bodies is permissible only with clear sizing, which is missing in some cases. As an example, he gave the area of Sveti Vlas, where there are covered water bodies with unclear technical parameters.

Regarding Elenite, Dimitrov stated that after the riverbed was covered, buildings were built on it.
