A military ritual, performed by the National Guard unit, will pay tribute to the memory of the servicemen who died in the wars for national liberation and unification, in peacekeeping operations and in the performance of military duty in peacetime.
This was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Defense.
A funeral service for the Archangel (male) All Souls' Day will be held in the area of the Military Mausoleum-Ossuary of the Central Sofia Cemeteries by the Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia Daniil.
President Rumen Radev will participate in the military ritual – a memorial service, which will honor the memory of the fallen Bulgarian soldiers on the occasion of the Archangel's Day, announced the press secretariat of the head of state. The ritual will be attended by the Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov, the Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov, representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, senior officers of the Armed Forces, members of the military-patriotic unions.
Rituals for the Archangel's Day will be held throughout the country by representative military units from the military formations.
For another year, the Archangel's Day will also be celebrated at Bulgarian military cemeteries and memorial sites abroad, the Ministry of Defense indicated.
