I highly doubt that Europe and the US will allow the purchase of "Lukoil" by a shell company. The company "Gunvor" has become one of the largest fuel distributors in Europe. They work without hindrance. This is a good solution for both the Russian company and the European Union. I assume that this will be a brokerage deal - a temporary solution - they will buy the assets and scatter them to pieces. This was said by PR expert Diana Damyanova, who was also part of the top management of "Lukoil" in Bulgaria.

The biggest test for the government will be exactly this - to deal with this problem that was not created by it, said Damyanova.
She also commented on the question of whether the state can veto the decision on who will acquire the company and stop the deal.
“All the changes made in order for SANS to be able to pronounce on the path of a potential buyer, have not commented on a compact deal all along. It seems highly unrealistic to me that the Bulgarian state could oppose such a deal if it were accepted at the US and EU level – which would mean that this buyer would not have sanctions and would be able to function”, Damyanova said.
She emphasized that “Lukoil” is the structurally determining company and any movement in its activities is reflected upstream in prices.
“Some time ago, I supported the idea of thoroughly vetting the potential buyer of “Lukoil”. Now the situation is different. I do not believe that if Trump and von der Leyen accept this sale, our country will oppose it”, the PR expert emphasized again.
Damyanova said that an attempt should be made to derogate and preserve the work of “Lukoil Neftochim” Burgas AD. She was categorical that ”Neftochim” should not stop working.

Damyanova believes that the president, for four years, was put in a situation “to possess all the power” – both that of the head of state and the executive.
”It is as if the desire to wield power is so strong in him that he is preparing to enter the political arena. "However, he can only do this if there are elections," she said. But she added that at this stage there are no prospects of one for at least a year after the president's term ends.
