Master pharmacists are ready to protest if the obligation is introduced for pharmacies to use only NRA-registered sales management software.
Their actions are dictated by the draft of the State Budget Act for 2026. They say that this will be a huge financial burden and they will not be able to cope on time.

„The necessary software now communicates with the drug verification system, with the National Health Information System and last but not least - with the System for Electronic Monitoring and Tracking of Drugs. This is minute-by-minute, even in some cases second-by-second communication. The software is quite heavy and expensive at the moment. But our biggest concerns are that from January 1st there is a risk that we will simply not be able to serve patients,” said Rostislav Kurdov.
He said that the time for changes is extremely short.
“In small settlements, the intervention of IT specialists will be needed. When will they reach every pharmacy? As the software becomes even heavier, it may be necessary to change computer configurations, reconfigure systems, and train personnel,” said Kurdov.
