This was stated to journalists by Prof. Kostadin Angelov from the GERB-SDF parliamentary group in response to a question about the position of GERB-SDF after the adoption of the bill, which expands the powers of the special representative for “Lukoil“. We have the feeling that the opposition is not defending the interests of Bulgaria, but the interests of the Kremlin. In this situation, the ball is currently in the president's court – he must return this law as quickly as possible, if he thinks about Bulgaria, and issue a decree for its publication. If he decides to impose a veto, and this means that he is not defending the interests of Bulgarian citizens, but is defending some corporate interests, which will most likely become clear in the future, but even if such a veto is imposed, it will be overcome within hours“, added Prof. Angelov. "We have no other choice, November 21 is the fastest, by then we must have guaranteed Bulgaria's national security and we will cope with this challenge", added Prof. Angelov.
