This was said by GERB leader Boyko Borisov.
He also commented on the head of state's words that if the goal of the ruling party was not to close the refinery, they would have appointed a special administrator by now: "The president's only role is to veto or pass a certain law. He was irritated by a confidential letter - there they hail Bulgaria as the best, fastest and most correctly acting in legislation".
"We can immediately appoint a special administrator, but Minister Stankov will tell the parliament what has been done so far. I can assure Radev that every action of ours is coordinated with the EC, the US Department of Energy and OFAC. I only ask him to decide now whether he will release the law on "Lukoil", and not at the last minute. If he imposes a veto, let us have time to overcome it, because otherwise we have another procedure. Delyan Peevski, Kiril Petkov or Assen Vassilev will not take the refinery, we will make geostrategic decisions with our partners", commented Borisov.

According to him, Bulgaria has the lowest taxes and dividends in the EU. "There are tens of thousands of people who are paid salaries of a million a month. They distort the average salary, it drags down the minimum salary, and from there all the expenses in the state automatically start to increase. I agreed with the BSP on the budget, but for the next one they will have to comply. According to the unions, 28 billion leva have been distributed as dividends. If the salary ceiling is 4,000 leva, but you receive 100,000, what do you do with the remaining 96,000, to whom you do not pay social security contributions? The unions and employers came to the GERB headquarters at their request - I explained to them that we will all try together to fix the state, and this requires everyone's understanding. If the government reduces salaries now, it will compromise the eurozone. We will never agree to increase VAT,", Borisov believes.
