A new protest over the water supply system failures in Lom. The dissatisfaction is due to another leak in the network, which led to cracking and collapse of houses, caused by the construction of the new water supply system, reports bTV.

After another failure, the house of a man from the "Stadiona" neighborhood in Lom is cracking. According to the owner, this is due to incompetence. He even tried to strengthen the house:

The walls inside are also cracked. Damage was also caused to other properties – freshly poured concrete cracked.

Another man said that the problems started with the construction of the water main in 2004.

During the laying of the new pipes, no dry inspection was performed. They were installed without a single test, the man claims.

However, the municipality says that they have conducted more than 48 hours of tests and that everything in the water supply network is built properly.

However, the people in the neighborhood do not agree, and the proof of this is precisely the cracked houses.

The streets in the neighborhood have been dug up and left like that, without being asphalted.

People say that the entire neighborhood is collapsing because rivers flow underneath.

The regional ministry stated that according to data from ViK-Montana, “during the elimination of the accidents, it was found that some of the installed polyethylene pipes did not have blue markings, but orange and red. This means that these are pipes for low-pressure irrigation systems.“

According to the people in the neighborhood, there are over 6 houses that have completely collapsed and the people have not been compensated in any way. The municipality has offered them municipal housing for temporary accommodation until they can strengthen their houses. However, people are asking how to strengthen a house that has already collapsed.

The neighborhood has organized a petition "Mente vodoprov", in which they insist that all those responsible who took part in this project and allowed the construction of the water pipeline be held accountable.
