Deputies will again discuss the law related to "Lukoil" after the president's veto

According to the head of state, the changes undermine the rule of law

Deputies will again discuss the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on the Administrative Regulation of Economic Activities Related to Oil and Oil Products, returned by the president. This will be the first item for today, the deputies decided with 128 votes “for“, 63 “against“ and 11 “abstains“.

The item was included in the agenda after a request and discussion by the Presidential Council.

Yesterday, President Rumen Radev vetoed and returned for new discussion in parliament the changes to the Law on the Administrative Regulation of Economic Activities Related to Oil and Oil Products, adopted on November 7. Then the Energy Committee of the National Assembly convened an extraordinary session, overrode the head of state's veto and re-adopted the amendments to the Law. The amendments concern the functions of the special commercial manager of the assets of “Lukoil“ in Bulgaria.

The agenda of the parliament for today also includes the first reading of two bills amending the Environmental Protection Law, the continuation of the first reading of amendments to the Law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as the first reading of amendments to the Law on the National Security Service and the Labor Code.
