A fire broke out in Haskovo at noon in a production hall of a local company in the eastern industrial zone near the city.
According to the workers, the fire started from a forgotten kebab grill and spread to a wooden shed, and from there to the machinery room.
The press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Haskovo confirmed that the fire was caused by an electrical appliance.
The shift workers managed to leave the production building in time. No one was injured in the incident. The fire was extinguished quickly and was prevented from spreading to other sites in the area.
Firefighters with four fire engines from Haskovo and Dimitrovgrad are on site. The assessment of the damage in the burned workshop, which contains machines, will be possible only when the heavy smoke in the room has passed.
