Georgi Kadiev: No one in their right mind would buy Lukoil if they didn't have Trump and Putin's approval

Europe is only in for bad times, we have no geopolitical advantages

Europe is only in for bad times, we have no geopolitical advantages. All three of them - Trump, Putin and Xi Jinping - love strong people who can outdo them and have the power, whether with nuclear missiles, rare earth metals or oil. We have no leverage. The biggest mistake is to quarrel with Trump, because we don't have the power to do so.

This was stated in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio by Georgi Kadiev, former Deputy Minister of Finance and former MP from the Bulgarian Socialist Party.

"We don't have any policy of our own towards anyone, the only thing we strive for is not to get into a dispute between Europe and the US and not have to choose a side. We will not do like Orban, because we are afraid that they will get angry with us in Brussels", commented Kadiev.

According to him, the cabinet is quite stable:

"If it falls apart, it will only be because they have quarreled internally. For now, the BSP and ITN are on their knees before Peevski. The only option is for Borisov and Peevski to quarrel. The only alternative is Radev."

In the program "Nesto pove" Georgi Kadiev commented on the appointment of Rumen Specsov as special manager of "Lukoil" and made a forecast of what will happen on the fuel market in our country.

He pointed out that there is no reason to raise fuel prices, even though they have jumped by 15 stotinki per liter in the last 2 weeks.

"What will happen to fuel depends 90% on what will happen to "Lukoil". I suppose we will understand in which direction the refinery management will go when we find out who it has a contract with for the sale of fuels. They have 15 contracts and if they throw some out and only 5 close to the government remain, and provide them with supplies, it means that the market is starting to be monopolized," warned Kadiev.

He admitted that he is a skeptic, and the increase in prices by 15 stotinki, given that prices on the international market are going down, is pure speculation:

"And most likely the speculation will continue. There is no main reason for them to increase. If oil goes up today, we should feel it in 30-45 days. And they haven't gone up, they are going down, and in our country they are increasing."

"I don't know how Spetsov will manage this, knowing that he doesn't understand anything about this business. It's not enough that he knows the financial flows and I doubt that he knows them either, because the National Revenue Agency does not monitor the financial flows. Secondly, the refinery in our country is a small part of the business. This is a state within a state and has a complex governance structure. Spetsov has never set foot there," Kadiev added.

His opinion is that "Chevron" is exploring the possibility of exploring "Lukoil".

He believes that there is an agreement between Trump, Putin and Xi Jinping for Lukoil:

"I think that no one in their right mind would buy "Lukoil" with overseas assets if they don't have the approval of both countries, Trump and Putin. The three of them will divide the world. China will take Taiwan, Russia - Ukraine and make a ring of Eastern European countries, and the US will take Venezuela, Greenland and Canada. And in all this domino Europe is not there, we are lost. We have no strengths - what to offer, we don't have an economy, rare earths or oil. What can Europe offer?"
