Director Maxim Genchev asked for funding for his new film "Karajata" by Delyan Peevski. In an open letter published on his Facebook profile, Genchev reminds the politician that ten years ago he called him the new Levski.
Here is what Maxim Genchev said in his publication:
An open letter to Delyan Peevski!
Dear Sir!
10 years ago I called you "the new Levski" out of loyalty, because the only TV station that broadcast my film "DEACON LEVSKI" was yours (Channel 3). For 10 years, all sorts of sites that praise you today have spat on me because of the comparison: " Peevski-Levski! "
Today I am forced to ask you for a budget for KARADZATA, because the Turks (DPS) respect our national hero more than the Bulgarians, who seized power with a single goal - revenge and selfishness, and I have no government support either through the sotsa or through the transition, but only enemies of my cause!!!
I expect donations for the film FREEDOM WANTS KARADZATA! Whoever has watched the Gerats, Botev and Levski, with the belief that they help preserve the ancestral memory and inspire servile feelings, let them show empathy for our efforts!
