Krasimir Karakachanov: VMRO stopped gender ideology, but the battle for the family continues

On the Day of the Christian Family - November 21, we should not forget that it is not just a tradition. The Christian family of a man and a woman is the solid foundation of our society

The Brussels liberals have tried to destroy this very thing in recent decades. Gender ideology is aimed at breaking up the traditional Christian family so that society can be fragmented, disunited, more easily manipulated and more easily governed. Therefore, I call on everyone: on this day, not only to participate in events and speak good words about the Christian family, but also to fight for its preservation, said the leader of VMRO Krasimir Karakachanov.

In his words, the battle for the family is not over. Every year in Brussels they continue to allocate billions, especially in this economic crisis in the EU, to promote same-sex marriages, mutilation of children with gender reassignment surgeries and drugs, and other madness of gender ideology, he also stated.

Karakachanov recalled that it was the VMRO that stopped the vicious Istanbul Convention from entering Bulgaria. We from the VMRO can be criticized for anything, but we have our political positions and decisions that we are proud of. One of them is that when we were in power in 2017-2021, my colleagues and I stopped the Istanbul Convention. Only we know what this cost us, how strong and unforgiving the pressure from Brussels and the embassies was, what the pressure was from our coalition partners - the big Europeans from GERB. But despite this, we held out and the Constitutional Court, which then had honor and dignity, declared the Istanbul Convention unconstitutional. If it weren't for VMRO, today in the 2026 budget they would vote money for gender reassignment of our children, continue to brainwash them in school, teach them that there is no mom and dad, but Parent 1 and Parent 2, they would cause them irreparable mental and physical damage, as is happening in other EU countries. We are proud that we stopped this madness, but we must not forget that the battle continues, because the officials in Brussels have not given up. Soros' servants in Bulgaria have not given up either. So when we go out to the events today, let's be a little angrier and a little more categorical, the leader of VMRO called.
