The protests against the parking reform in the capital continue. Today, residents of the neighborhoods of "Hadzhi Dimitar" and "Suhata Reka" will express their dissatisfaction with it, BNR reported.
They oppose the expansion of the paid parking zone in their areas and the doubling of the price of the service.
People express disagreement with the planned introduction of a green zone before sufficient parking spaces and real solutions for parking are provided. They remind that for years they have suffered from a shortage of places and the poor condition of the street infrastructure.
According to the mayor of the capital, Vasil Terziev, the change is necessary to bring order to the neighborhoods, and the funds collected should be used to improve the urban environment.
The Consumer Protection Commission and the Ombudsman have already been notified of the case.
