The air emergency medical care system has been activated again in Yambol. A 49-year-old patient with a lumbar vertebra fracture due to a fall from a great height was admitted to the Emergency Department of the "St. Panteleimon" Hospital at 11:00 today, BNT reported.
After the patient underwent imaging diagnostics and a consultation with a neurosurgeon, he will be transported by air ambulance for treatment at the Neurosurgery Clinic at the "Pirogov" University Hospital and Medical Center. The decision was made in coordination with the Ministry of Health, the Emergency Medical Care Center and "Bulgaria Heli Med Service".
The injured person will be transported by ambulance to the "Bezmer" airbase, where the specialized medical helicopter is expected to land, announced the "St. Panteleimon" - Yambol Hospital.
