Wholesale fruit and vegetables are getting cheaper, only the wholesale price of potatoes is being raised

Fruit and vegetables are getting cheaper on the exchanges in the country over the past week. This is clear from the regular data of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DCBM), quoted by BTA.

The market price index (MPI) for changes in wholesale food prices in the country fell by 0.09% to 2.313 points from 2.315 points in the previous week.

Among vegetables, the price of cabbage decreased the most significantly - by 14.19% to 0.81 leva per kilogram. Carrots are cheaper by 8.18% to 1.01 leva/kg, ripe onions - by 7.84% to 0.94 leva per kilogram, cucumbers - by 6.17% to 3.04 leva/kg, tomatoes - by 5.26% to 2.45 leva per kilogram, zucchini - by 3.15% to 2.34 leva per kilogram, red peppers - by 2.08% to 2.17 leva per kilogram, and green peppers - by 0.1% to 1.98 leva/kg.

Only potatoes are more expensive - by 5.15% to 0.98 leva per kilogram.

Among fruits, oranges are also the most seriously cheaper - by 12.04% to 2.44 leva per kilogram, followed by apples - by 10.35% to 2.27 leva/kg, and lemons - by 9.37% to 3.25 leva per kilogram. The price of grapes decreased by 3.94% to 3.12 leva/kg, and bananas - by 0.59% to 2.70 leva per kilogram.

Cow cheese became slightly cheaper by 0.25% to 11.97 leva per kilogram, and the price of "Vitosha" type yellow cheese increased slightly - by 0.62% to 18.13 leva per kilogram. The price of yogurt with 3 or more percent fat content decreased by 0.44% to 1.37 leva per 400 g bucket, a 125 g package of butter decreased by 0.45% to 3.13 leva per unit, and fresh milk increased by 0.85% to 2.36 leva per liter.

Frozen chicken meat decreased by 2.79% to 6.77 leva per kilogram, and size M eggs increased by 3.54% to 0.41 leva per unit wholesale.

The price of rice decreased by 1.57% to 3.38 leva per kilogram, and oil - by 1.51% to 3.26 leva per liter. Type 500 flour increased in price by 7.42% to 1.65 leva per kilogram, and sugar - by 1.06% to 1.90 leva per kilogram. Beans and lentils decreased in price, respectively by 0.57% to 4.20 leva per kilogram and by 3.64% to 4.02 leva/kg.
