Bonev attacked Peevski: “You are a populist” and called on him to remove the illegal parking of MPs

Bonev stressed that the “parking lot for MPs and associates in the center of Sofia” is a symbol of a double standard that has been undermining people’s trust in institutions for years

The chairman of Spasi Sofia Boris Bonev launched a sharp attack on Delyan Peevski, stating directly: “You are a populist” and called on him, if he really is “such an airbender and has cared so much about the welfare of the people”, to remove the illegal parking lot for MPs at “Alexander Nevski” the very next day with privileged parking spaces that the MPs have secured in the very center of the capital.

Bonev stressed that the “parking lot for MPs and associates in the center of Sofia” is a symbol of a double standard that has been undermining people's trust in institutions for years. While citizens pay, drive around and look for a parking space, deputies use public space as a private acquisition.

In his speech, Bonev also commented on Peevski's intentions to appeal the new parking ordinance in Sofia:“I heard that you were going to regret the parking ordinance - the one that will lead to more free spaces in the center, order in the neighborhoods and more money for new parking lots“, he said. In his words, if Peevski really cares about the interests of citizens, he should support the rules that introduce order and make people's lives easier, instead of sabotaging them in defense of someone else's conveniences.
