The dialogue between employers and unions has been restored, announced GERB leader Boyko Borisov.
"Meetings will begin tomorrow at the Ministry of Finance, where all the details will be ironed out. The state stands behind every Bulgarian citizen. We united around this at a meeting at GERB Headquarters with the Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev, the Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee Delyan Dobrev, the former Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov, as well as the employers from KRIB and BIA, represented by Kiril Domuschiev and Dobri Mitrev. Both national unions KT “Podkrepa“ and the Confederation of Bulgarian Trade Unions, represented by Dimitar Manolov and Lyuboslav Kostov," Borisov wrote.
He also wrote that the working groups and the National Trade Union Congress will also be restored. Representatives of the four parties that support the government will participate in the discussions on the 2026 Budget.
Earlier, the government withdrew the draft budget for 2026 and demanded the restoration of dialogue with employers and unions. This was announced by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov on Thursday morning.
