PETRICH
A state of emergency has been declared in Petrich Municipality, the press center of the District Administration announced. The torrential rains in recent days, according to Mayor Dimitar Brachkov, have led to excessive irrigation of the land, which is having difficulty absorbing additional amounts of rain. Currently, according to NIMH data, about 50-80 to 100 l/sq m have fallen in the region in just a few days, and the amount is expected to reach 80 liters, which will further complicate the situation. The forecast is for more significant rainfall to fall overnight.
Stones have fallen in the area of the Kresna Gorge and the Predel Pass, which are being removed by teams from the Road Administration - Blagoevgrad. Drivers are urged to drive with increased caution.
Traffic on the road between Sklave and Spatovo is difficult due to water on the roadway. Teams have been sent everywhere to eliminate the problems.
River levels are slightly above average and there is currently no danger of overflow. In some sections of small tributaries, dikes have broken, and equipment is being directed to eliminate the problems. The operational headquarters, created by the regional governor, is working in an emergency situation and coordinating actions between institutions and municipalities.
SANDANSKI
Due to the intense rainfall in the last hours, the situation in the territory of the Sandanski municipality is extremely serious. The most affected at the moment are the villages of Novo Delchevo, Leshnitsa, Sklave, Dzhigurovo, Lilyanovo and others, where there is a risk of flooding in low-lying areas.
Over 35 l/sq. m of rain have been registered in the last three hours in Sandanski. "We are doing everything possible to respond to every signal received through the Fire Department and through the teams of the Sandanski municipality. The situation is dynamic, complex and difficult", said the mayor of Sandanski Atanas Stoyanov earlier to BTA. Flooding signals have been registered in many places in Sandanski and in the settlements.
All teams of "Fire Safety and Population Protection", the "Police" District Service - Sandanski and the Volunteer Formation of the Municipality of Sandanski are working on site and providing assistance to citizens. The "Road Infrastructure" Agency has been notified of the complicated situation on the republican road network.
There is a large amount of water on the "Struma" highway near the village of Novo Delchevo and on the main road E-79 in the area of the "Spartak" district in Sandanski. Traffic police teams are on site, signaling drivers to drive with increased caution. There are no reports of injured people.

STRUMYANI
A state of emergency has been declared in the municipality of Strumyani. This was announced by the press center of the Regional Administration-Blagoevgrad.
For now, the levels of the large rivers Struma and Mesta are slightly above average, but still far from critical values. The bigger problem is related to the small rivers that flow into the Struma and Mesta.
The amount of rain that fell on the high parts of the Pirin and Belasitsa mountains is between 50-60 l./sq m. The fallen rocks in the Kresna Gorge area have been removed, the Regional Road Administration-Blagoevgrad reports. The regional governor calls on citizens to limit travel, especially on routes passing through risky areas – ravines, riverbeds and slopes.
Institutions remain on high alert, and duty teams monitor critical points in the region and remain on patrol at night. In case of a complication of the situation, additional instructions will be issued. According to data from the Regional Administration-Blagoevgrad, the tributaries of the Gradevska River have increased, which has led to a rise in its level. So far, there is no information about damage.
Due to landslides and rocks, Simitli Municipality is introducing a temporary ban on traffic on the road section between the Simitli village of Zheleznitsa and the Blagoevgrad village of Tserovo, the Simitli Municipality announced on its Facebook page. They point out that the affected section poses a serious risk to the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
As BTA reported, a state of emergency has been declared on the territory of Simitli Municipality in connection with the torrential rains of the last 24 hours. The Municipality indicates that in order to ensure accessibility and safe movement, the passage of motor vehicles for public transport of passengers, performing inter-village transport, as well as specialized transport of children and students will be organized.
The Municipality also reported flooded sections in the “Drankalitsa“ neighborhood of Simitli. The administration urged drivers to drive with increased caution due to puddles and flooded areas resulting from heavy rainfall.
