PP-DB will submit a vote of no confidence against the government in parliament tomorrow for its economic policy. This was announced by the leaders of the coalition to journalists on the sidelines of parliament.
„The topic is about the government's economic policy, because through it it drove so many people to protest. The budget was just the last straw of the wrong economic policy against the middle class and business,” said Bozhidar Bozhanov, quoted by the press center of “Yes, Bulgaria”.
The Deputy Chairman of the Bulgarian People's Party Nikolay Denkov also added the lack of humility and apology from the Ministry of Interior and the government for their behavior at the protest and the young people detained in custody.
”According to the current Minister of Interior Daniel Mitov and according to the previous one Kalin Stoyanov, if there were problems and excesses, the protesters are to blame. If everything went well with 100,000 protesters, the credit for this goes to the police. The truth is exactly the opposite - the protest was peaceful, and after the protest there were provocateurs, everyone saw it and this picture cannot be changed”, said Denkov.
“When there are 100,000 people at a protest in Sofia, there is no way they can be controlled, all the preliminary plans of the organizers change on the fly. The organizer, mentioned by Minister Mitov, notified the Ministry of Interior by phone between 4 and 5 p.m. that since many more people are expected to come, they cannot be controlled and it is not known whether they will stay in place or go somewhere. "It is the job of the Ministry of Interior to guard the protest along its entire length and check for provocateurs," said Bozanov, quoted by the press center of "Yes, Bulgaria."
He described as completely inadequate the statements of the minister and the chief of the capital's police that the stewards should have identified the provocateurs and suggested that if all 100,000 people had remained on the square and these provocations had taken place there, it might have been much more dangerous.
