A question that worries many people - how will we pay on New Year's Eve. After the Association of Banks in Bulgaria announced that an interruption will be necessary for the technical adjustment of the systems to the new currency, and it is good to have cash, writes BNT.
On which days should we expect problems with card payments and online payments?
Hristian Prashkov, Manager of "Strategic Initiatives" at a commercial bank answers the question: "I would not use the word problems, rather there will be short moments of interruption for the euro conversion itself to take place and these are the hours around midnight. The expectations are that the period in which the ATMs will not be operational will be within one to two hours, the time will be very short indeed. In early December, we are planning a mass communication in which we will announce all closing hours for payments, cards, and ATMs, and customers will be able to know when and until what hours they will be open."
