Kalin Stoyanov: Ivaylo Mirchev is just a big liar!

The only thing Mirchev has done in the case with the armored personnel carriers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is to sign next to Peevski, Borisov, Hristo Ivanov, Kiril Petkov and Hristo Gadzhev. This is Mirchev's entire contribution to this case and nothing more!

The former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and current MP from the DPS - Novo nachlaso, Kalin Stoyanov, responded to Ivaylo Mirchev. He pointed out how many false statements the co-chairman of the DB made from the plenary hall on Wednesday.

Here is what Stoyanov wrote:

"Ivaylo Mirchev is just a big liar!!!

Yesterday, during the hearing of the Minister of Internal Affairs, MP Ivaylo Mirchev was exposed for his yet another lie. This time for his Facebook post from the day before the protest, in which he had listed exactly five points and five lies respectively. The Minister of the Interior refuted him by presenting verified facts that do not correspond to what Mirchev wrote.

But Mirchev did not stop with the false statements only during the hearing. He continued to lie coldly at a media briefing in the National Assembly.

After the chairman of the MRF, Delyan Peevski, clearly showed a small part of the bills that he had submitted together with Mirchev, Borisov and other MPs, Mirchev stood in front of the media and, without blinking an eye, lied again: “I had found some armored personnel carriers in the gendarmerie and since our policy in the PP and DB has always been to support Ukraine, I submitted a proposal that these armored personnel carriers be sent to Ukraine, for which Bulgaria received hundreds of millions.“

I remember very well that Mirchev had absolutely nothing to do with finding and organizing the transfer of the armored personnel carriers in question, which were no longer needed by the Ministry of Interior, morally obsolete and malfunctioning. Everything related to these vehicles was organized by Delyan Peevski and Boyko Borisov, who drove the entire process from their provision, through transport and logistics, to the provision of the necessary funds and their final handover to the Ukrainian side.

The only thing Mirchev did in the case of the Ministry of Interior armored personnel carriers was to sign alongside Peevski, Borisov, Hristo Ivanov, Kiril Petkov and Hristo Gadzhev. This is Mirchev's entire contribution to this case and nothing more!

I remember that the biggest difficulty back then was securing funds for transporting the vehicles from the units in which they were located to Ukrainian territory, as well as the logistics of their handover itself. All issues were resolved on the fly personally by Peevski and Borisov. Mirchev neither found the vehicles, nor provided the funds for their transport, nor coordinated the logistics of the handover. His only participation was one signature between those of Borisov and Peevski.
