Apparently, the government is not seriously trying to revise the budget, but rather to pass it as quickly as possible and cosmetically satisfy the demands and thus quickly end the issue. This was stated by economist Georgi Vuldjev from EKIP to the Bulgarian National Radio.

"The budget foresees that the state debt from 23% of GDP by the end of 2024 will rise to 36.6% in just 4 years. This is absolutely insane, given that we do not have a recession at the moment, we have economic growth, even the government boasts that we have one of the best economic growth rates in Europe. It's unclear how you can brag about this, given that in the budget you're writing, you're betting that the state debt to GDP ratio will increase by half. These people are showing that they really don't care if this country goes bankrupt".
