Another protest against the ruling party is coming up in Sofia

For the first time, a protest action by the newly established Association "Students Against the Mafia" will take place. The initiative involves graduates of various universities in the country, who are speaking out against "the model of a conquered, corrupt and uncontrolled state, currently personified by Delyan Peevski and Boyko Borisov".

A new protest is expected today in Sofia, Nova TV reports. After the initial dissatisfaction with the state budget, the demand has already grown into a resignation of the government. The protest will again be held in the triangle of power on “Independence” Square.

For the first time, a protest action by the newly established Association "Students Against the Mafia" will take place. The initiative involves graduates of various universities in the country, who are opposing the "model of a conquered, corrupt and uncontrolled state, currently personified by Delyan Peevski and Boyko Borisov".

With a symbolic action, the students will gather in front of Sofia University and march to "Independence" Square. Demonstrations are also expected in other cities in the country.

The police have stepped up security measures for the protest against the government. 19 checkpoints will be built around the triangle of power, and uniformed officers are ready for two more mobile ones.

According to the latest information from the organizers, a march will not be held. At this stage, protest notices have been filed by “We Continue the Change“, students from NATFA and Sofia University, as well as a deputy from “Vazrazhdane“.
