A prisoner has died on the way to the hospital, the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Kyustendil announced. The 38-year-old man was transported by ambulance from the prison dormitory in Samoranovo to a health facility. The prisoner was serving his sentence in the dormitory.
A police group on duty conducted an inspection of the scene, and no traces of violence were found.
The body has been transported for autopsy to the Kyustendil hospital. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the Dupnitsa District Office. Work on the case continues under the supervision of a prosecutor from the District Prosecutor's Office - Kyustendil.
