President Rumen Radev will meet with representatives of the parliamentary groups of the "BSP-United Left" and "There is Such a People" (ITN). The meetings are part of the procedure for consultations with representatives of the parliamentary groups in the 51st National Assembly after the resignation of the government. This was announced by the press secretariat of the head of state.
The first meeting will be at 10:00 with "BSP-United Left" and then with "There is Such a People" from 11:30 a.m.
The day before yesterday, the president discussed the political situation in the country with representatives of "Vazrazhdane" and "DPS - New Beginning".
On Monday (December 15), consultations with President Rumen Radev began, as he spoke with GERB-SDF and "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB).
Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov announced a few days ago that the government was resigning. A day later, the National Assembly unanimously accepted the resignation of the Prime Minister. It was reached after mass protests in Sofia and other cities in the country this month.
According to the Constitution, after the resignation of the cabinet, the president begins a new procedure for handing over exploratory mandates for forming a government.
