Protesters against the adoption of the euro blocked traffic on Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd. in the area of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB).
They headed for the official entrance of the parliament, but were stopped by the police.
The protest is collecting signatures in support of extending the period of dual circulation of the lev and euro until July 1, 2026, in order to provide time for the court in Luxembourg to rule on a referendum.
The organizer is the "Doyran 2025" Association. The protest was registered with the Sofia Municipality, BTA reports.
