The leader of "There is such a people" Slavi Trifonov came out with a position on the PP-DB protest after the information about the dismissal of journalist Maria Tsantsarova. We offer you his statement without editorial intervention. The text was published on Facebook.

"There is something that is not clear to me, and now I will try to clarify it.

BTV is a private company and regardless of whether it is Czech, Bulgarian or Zanzibar, it works within the meaning of Bulgarian laws. And as far as I remember, the Bulgarian Constitution absolutely protects private entrepreneurship, free initiative and the market economy.

Tsantsarova works in a private media and it is her right to like or dislike whoever she wants, because she works in a private company and her work depends only on her superiors. On the other hand, BTV can afford to hire and fire whoever she wants and whenever she wants, precisely because it is a private company and is protected by the laws of Bulgaria.

So, this conflict is clear. BTV doesn't like who Tsantsarova likes and the law gives it the right to fire her whenever it wants.

To avoid making harmful allusions, I will remind you that I was not an employee of BTV like Tsantsarova, but their equal partner, but let's get back to the specific case.

Everything in this story is clear, but it's not clear to me why the PP-DB is protesting from below. Excuse me - a non-governmental organization is protesting, but in fact the protest was inspired by the number one protester in the country - PP-DB.

That is, since I am also a private entrepreneur, if I decide to fire someone and PP-DB doesn't like it, they will protest under my office, right?

I think that Assen Vassilev and company, according to themselves, have climbed on the wings of popular love, they feel very comfortable there, they have forgotten themselves and think that they can dispose of everything and everyone in our dear homeland. But they don't know one important thing. Actually - two things.

The first is a basic Bulgarian law and it states: “A tyrant man does not scream.“ This is for Asen Vassilev.

And the second is that it is easy to fall from the wings of popular love, it hurts a lot and it is very difficult to get back up there.

Of course, I know this from experience.

Slavi Trifonov: former singer and current singer, because I appointed myself and no one can fire me".
