The creator and owner of the iconic Retro Museum in Varna, Tsvetan Atanasov, passed away today after a serious illness. The sad news was announced by his relatives, quoted by BGNES. Atanasov passed away after a painful fight with a severe form of stomach cancer.

A week before his fatal end, when he realized that his condition was irreversible, Tsvetan Atanasov recorded a video address to his friends and followers. In it, he left strong words about the meaning of life and human values.

"Dear friends, live wisely, love life. And, if possible, be happy with what you do. The Retro Museum was the project of my life. Be healthy. On earth, life is short and interesting, sometimes very interesting, but also painful", Atanasov's last words were.

Atanasov's family describes him as an example of hard work, honesty and humanity. His passion for history and collecting turned the Retro Museum into one of the most visited tourist attractions in Varna, preserving memories of the socialist era.

"He left behind not only memories, but a work that has meaning and value. The loss is enormous and words can hardly describe the emptiness he leaves behind, but we will continue the path he outlined with hard work and love,", Atanasov's relatives said in an official statement.

Information about the date and place of the pilgrimage will be announced later.
